IMPORTANT NOTE TO OUR SUPPORT PARTNERS
We are leaving the U.S. and starting our work with Extreme Response this week, the first three months will be in training. Starting immediately we will be effectively living on the generosity and provision of the commitments all of you have made to our family and mission. We have taken an extreme leap of faith to pursue this mission. Our timing and planning is based on those expressed commitments. We understand that everyone is very busy and sometimes things get overlooked. If you have not started your commitment yet, please contact us to find out how to begin or visit www.extremehing.org/donate. Thank you for your willingness to be a part of our team and the work of changing lives.
MOVING OUT OF THE COUNTRY THIS WEEK
Our departure date to begin language training in Costa Rica is scheduled for April 23rd. We need many prayers there is so much to do and so little time. We understand that we are not in control and we find ourselves continually relinquishing those worries.
This week we still need to finish translating our shipping manifest into Spanish, get our Visas for living in Ecuador, secure our apartment for the time in Costa Rica, and enroll our kids in school for next semester starting in Ecuador, just to list a few.
The most exciting news is that we were able to solidify our agreement over the house we were hoping to rent in Quito. We hope to acquire many of the furniture items that are for sale in the household. We will still need to furnish our home in Quito, there are some items remaining available for purchase if you would like to help us out. Our many thanks go out to those who have already purchased a majority of items. In addition, we send a huge thanks to Lapeer Community Church for taking up an offering for us during our training in Colorado. With those collections we were able to purchase a washer and dryer and put a small payment toward the vehicle fund. The vehicle will be a necessity for our family since we will be living too far from the school to walk in safety and will need a car to get around. So once again we will be relying on prayer and provision.
STRATEGIC GIVING
Our need for a monthly support team is critical to our work. But we find ourselves facing needs for basic essentials and conveniences that many take for granted. This section highlights options for people who wish to be intentional about their way of supporting us. We will list items here that we are currently doing without and where our monthly support is unable to acquire for us. Feel free to review the list at www.extremehing.org/strategic-giving and strategically plan your investment into our lives and work in Ecuador.
SAYING GOODBYE
Our lives have been a whirlwind during this transition and we are trying to get in as many good byes as possible. If we have been unable to get a date on the calendar to get together we apologize. Pictured above, Easton’s 2nd grade class with Mrs. Bower held a farewell party for him. We have made so many connections in this process and have made so many friends that are very dear to our hearts and we are grateful for each and every one of you. We are very grateful for all the efforts in helping us along in this great adventure. We are overwhelmed with the amount of love we have received.
